A guilty verdict came Friday against a second suspect in the murder of a gender fluid Burlington, Iowa teenager.

That’s the decision reached by the jury for 26-year-old Jaron Purham who was facing first-degree murder.

The trial started a week and a half ago.

Purham took part in the shooting and suffocation of 16-year-old Kedarie Johnson in March 2016.

Purham was prosecuted in Washington County, Iowa.

His sentencing is scheduled for next month.
