A guilty verdict came Friday against a second suspect in the murder of a gender fluid Burlington, Iowa teenager.
That’s the decision reached by the jury for 26-year-old Jaron Purham who was facing first-degree murder.
The trial started a week and a half ago.
Purham took part in the shooting and suffocation of 16-year-old Kedarie Johnson in March 2016.
Purham was prosecuted in Washington County, Iowa.
His sentencing is scheduled for next month.
Jorge Sanders-Galvez was already convicted in November 2017.
He’s now doing life in prison.
