On the Avenue of the Cities east of Interstate 74, work is nearing completion on the old Aldi’s grocery store.
Today concrete was poured for the parking lot for the project, just across the Avenue from the Villa Park neighborhood.
Developer Dan Dolan tells Local 4 News and Fox 18 News that he’s in talks with a bar/restaurant and a medical supply company.
He also has plans to build a stand-alone building on the corner that used be a gas station, but is waiting to build to customize for the tenant.
