In his narration of the Season 5 teaser, star Penn Badgley cryptically says, "You're considering what — or should I say who — Joe will come up against as he finally returns to New York. Though I can't say who just yet, there are many loose ends from Joe's past."
While Ellie's lingering curiosity about Delilah's whereabouts would spell obvious trouble for Joe, the trailer also shows his former Madre Linda neighbors and captives Sherry (Shalita Grant) and Cary (Travis Van Winkle). While they have no knowledge of Joe's doings since he left California, those two could pose the greatest danger to Joe's freedom, as they know the most about his true nature from their time as his prisoners.
Complicating Jenna Ortega's return — or perhaps guaranteeing it — is how her star has been on a rapid rise since her appearance on Season 2 of "You." In the last couple of years, she has appeared in the latest two installments of the "Scream" film franchise, starred in the indie horror "X," and anchored the popular "Addams Family" Netflix spinoff "Wednesday." "You" fans would undoubtedly be excited to see Ortega's return — even if it would mean trouble for Joe.
