The barman in "The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special" is played by German actor and comedian Flula Borg, who appeared in 2021's "The Suicide Squad" as Javelin. Admittedly, he is one of the many members who get iced early on in the film, but he still makes an impact after Harley Quinn uses his weapon of choice to help take down Starro.
When it came to getting the gig, though, Borg didn't even know which character he would be playing or what he'd be armed with. He explained to Forbes, "They did not say it was a javelin thrower. They just had some foam instruments. It was like Throw the Machete Man or something confusing, but the energy ... of the character was the same." Either way, going in with absolutely no idea obviously paid off. "So I think I somehow mistakenly captured the correct energy, and then somehow was cast," he shared. With that, it's proof he was the perfect pick for Javelin. Even when he makes a mistake, he can't miss.
