Yennefer may lose her confidence when it comes to magic in "The Witcher" Season 2, but you wouldn't know that based on her choice of wardrobe. As many "Witcher" fans have been quick to point out, Yennefer rocks a lavish, bright purple cloak the entire time she is in Oxenfurt, which stands out like a sore thumb amidst the largely dreary brown and grey clothes worn by the rest of the city's inhabitants.
"It annoyed me sooo much!" wrote u/LittleShiningLuma about Yennefer's clothing choices in Oxenfurt. "She and Cahir were standing out from the crowd just because of their colors, which is a stupid way to disguise themselves." Others fans argued, however, that just because the two characters were trying to be secretive doesn't mean they couldn't be fashionable as well. "I mean, it totally went well with her eyes," noted u/hanna1214, before jokingly adding, "Didn't you know that fashion is a number one priority in the world of sorceresses??"
Funnily enough, actor Anya Chalotra may actually agree with the latter half of that fan's comment. In an interview with Elle Australia, Chalotra gushed about how beautiful Yennefer's purple cloak is in "The Witcher" Season 2, and how the use of bright color works as an expression of Yennefer's identity.
Of course, no matter the reasoning behind Yennefer's clothing choices in "The Witcher" Season 2, it seems fair to say that she may want to choose a better outfit the next time she needs to stay hidden. After all, her cloak does result in her being recognized in Oxenfurt almost immediately.
