Many members of the main cast of "The Good Doctor" returned for Season 6. This includes Freddie Highmore as the show's main character, Dr. Shaun Murphy, as well as Hill Harper as Dr. Marcus Andrews, Richard Schiff as Dr. Aaron Glassman, Will Yun Lee as  Dr. Alex Park, and Paige Spara as Lea Dilallo. Following the nail-biting Season 5 finale, it was unclear if Christina Chang, who plays Dr. Audrey Lim, and Fiona Gubelmann, who plays Dr. Morgan Reznick, would return for Season 6. Showrunner David Shore, however, confirmed in an interview with TVLine immediately after the finale aired that both characters will be returning, which means that Chang and Gubelmann are in the cast during Season 6 as well.

The medical drama also added two new cast members: Brandon Larracuente and Savannah Welch, as noted by Deadline. Larracuente, who appeared in a guest turn on Season 4 of fellow ABC series "The Rookie" (per IMDb), plays Daniel, one member of a new class of interns who is both enigmatic yet displays a preference for flying solo. Daniel will no doubt ruffle feathers due to his unusual medical opinions. Welch, who is best known for playing Barbara Gordon on the HBO Max superhero series "Titans," plays Danica, another member of the fresh intern class. Danica is, according to Deadline's reporting, a graduate of the Naval Academy Annapolis. While she prefers to be as fair as possible in the line of duty, she's not afraid to break the rules for the greater good.
