Episode 7 of the show's "Entertainment District Arc" sees the Hashira Tengen Uzui swoop in and behead Daki. However, just as Tengen starts to contemplate why Daki's body hasn't started disintegrating after he cuts off her head, another demon starts to emerge from her back. We see that it's Daki's brother, Gyutaro, who seems to be an even more powerful demon and is easily able to dodge Tengen's advances. The reveal undoubtedly comes as a shock to "Demon Slayer" viewers, as many believed Daki to be the true antagonist of the season.
The jaw-dropping reveal seemingly comes out of nowhere as well, especially considering previous "Demon Slayer" episodes gave no indication that there would be another demon involved in the arc or that Daki had a brother. That said, the show does subtly hint at Gyutaro's role in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment in its opening credits.
The moment in question (captured in the above image) is a brief shot of Gyutaro's grotesque outline as well as his blood sickles. That's right: The show's opening credits do, indeed, show Gyutaro. The character's appearance is remarkably brief though, so it's no wonder why many "Demon Slayer" fans were still so shocked to see him in Episode 7.
His official introduction, unfortunately, just makes Tengen and Tanjiro's lives that much harder.
