Black Hawk College unveiled the finishing touches from a multi-million dollar renovation of its continuing education building.
The outreach center, which provides everything from English as a second language to GED services, needed a lot of work.
It got a new roof and remodeled restrooms to make it ADA compliant.
It was also outfitted with the latest classroom technology.
Black Hawk tells Local 4 News it’s all to make the building more comfortable for potential students.
“We just want to welcome everybody to the building,” said Glenda Nicke, Dean of Adult and Continuing Education at Black Hawk College. “We think it’s going to be a pleasant place for people to come to classes, and we hope we’ll have more students coming all the time.”
Nicke said it was a labor of love for faculty and staff.
