"After We Fell" is coming to international theaters this fall. Deadline reported this month that both "After We Fell" and the fourth film in the series, "After Ever Happy," are currently in post production. The official "After" Instagram announced that "After We Fell" is first going to premiere in Italy, Poland, and Sweden on September 1, with various other September and October dates internationally. Then it will come to the United States in October, with no specific date yet announced (via Teen Vogue).
The new film sports a new director for the series, Castille Landon, who will helm the following movies. She told Teen Vogue, "For me what was really important is getting Tessa's experience right, from the perspective of a young woman. I'm not too far removed from that kind of world myself, and I really related to her. Being able to convey that cinematically was important to me, in a way that didn't feel gratuitous but also felt very very real-world and not glossing over the messiness of what it is to be a young woman in love with — for lack of a better term — a bad boy."
With "After" releasing in 2019, then "After We Collided" in 2020, and "After We Fell" in 2021, it seems they're set to release one movie each year.
